EA Club Standards – Urgent Communication

In April this year England Athletics imposed new club standards that all registered clubs will have to adhere to in order to be affiliated as at 1.4.23.
Ilford AC have always had very good governance and compliance documents in place but nonetheless we are currently failing on a couple of items on the new check list.
The most critical of which is the need for two Welfare Officers.
Under new rules we need to have a male and a female officer. We urgently require two volunteers as soon as possible as an online course will need to be completed.
Historically we have had Welfare and Child Protection Officer but unfortunately her qualification is not up to date or and she is not active within the club.
On another issue we need to ensure that all club officials, coaches, run leaders, officers and volunteers have their roles and qualifications included on their EA registration profiles. Please can everyone check and update if necessary and also make sure DBS checks are current.
