Hi everyone, don’t forget we’ve planned our post marathon drinkies for this Sunday, 6th at the Eva Hart in Chad well Heath from 6.30. This is to celebrate all our marathon runners’ (and helpers!) achievements this year so hope you can come along. It’s a Wetherspoons so food available on an ad hoc basis.

Wednesday 23rd November 7.30pm-for-7.45pm. Again, it’s at the Bekash Tandoori Restaurant, 70 Victoria Road, Romford. RM1 2LA. Pre-meal drinks at “The Moon and Stars”(Wetherspoon), 99-103 South Street, Romford (in the next street) from 5.30pm-to-7.30pm-“ish”. There’s plenty of parking near the Bekash, in side streets and in front of the restaurant itself. Also, parking is permitted in front of ARCO Plumbers, Havering Christian Bookshop and a Sub-Post Office. However, it’s better using public transport. The Bekash is less than 5 minutes’ walk from Romford Station (local trains run beyond midnight) and buses serving many local destinations from Romford Station (some running beyond midnight) + 3 routes operating all-night services. Walking between Wetherspoon & the Bekash is 7 minutes.
For an idea of price, we book Wednesday as it’s “Banquet Night” with a special offer for £14.95p, which offers (1) poppadum’s, (2) any starter, (3) any main dish (King Prawns £2 extra), (4) any rice (alternative nan) and (5) a side dish. As in previous years we’ll add 10% for service (which is good). We’ll add to the bill our drinks (nobody in the past 2 years has overdone that), so that’ll again be shared by all diners. The Bekash offers a range of beers, wines & soft drinks – and has “Cobra” on draught!
No need for money up front – please settle in cash on-the-night. We need advance notice in order to make our booking. Last time we had 22, so many know what this restaurant is like. If you’ve not been before, you can check it out on www.bekashromford.co.uk
As in the past few years, it’s open to all, plus your family members and guests. All welcome, to continue our long-standing tradition. We had an enforced pause in 2020 & 2021 for obvious reasons. Welcome back one-and-all.
Regards
Billy Green
