Apologies to some of you who are on Facebook or the Whattsapp group, as this will be about the 4th time you will see the message below.

Runners – please don’t do anything until we have official clarification.
Volunteers – Please let me know if you cannot make the new date below …

Following yesterday’s disappointing announcement regarding restrictions remaining in place for a further 4 weeks, this obviously affects our (Ilford AC) race which was due to take place on 14th July with no restrictions.
We have explored various options, but the overriding opinion is that we want to put on a ‘proper’ race, without waves and/or chip results.
We have therefore approached the park and put forward a proposal of postponing the race to WEDNESDAY 28th JULY.
They have no objections in principal but will confirm within 48 hours after consulting the contractors who are due to start work on the site.
We understand there may be people who cannot make the new date but please bear with us until we get official confirmation.
