Way back in 2019, in normal times (anyone remember?), the club were able to offer its members 6 London Marathon places.
This consisted of ONE place direct from UKA and FIVE places as a reward for our support at a Water Station.
These places were given out for 2020, and rolled over to this October 2021.
All athletes will have been responsible for applying to roll over their entry.

Therefore we have no additional places on offer for the October 2021 London Marathon.
HOWEVER –
IF the club can field 10 runners in this weekends reunion 5k that I advertised earlier ( www.lmereg.co.uk/w/756 ) then the club will receive an extra place. First refusal for this extra place will be offered to one of the runners who take part in Saturdays event should we get 10 runners.

For next years (2022) London Marathon the club will receive ONE place from UKA, and this place has been reserved for someone who had initially been offered a 2020 place but kindly pulled out when our allocation was cut.
We will receive NO extra Water Station places for 2022, so unfortunately there will be no club places on offer for the 2022 Virgin London Marathon.
You’ll all have to train harder and get a good for age place !!

Fingers crossed things will return to normal for 2023 and we can have a good contingent of Ilford AC runners represent the club in our Anniversary year.
