Hi All

Please see below message from Essex XC League Secretary

“As you are aware we should have been starting the new season early next month at Great Notley. However, in view of the current situation with the Covid 19 pandemic this is not going to be possible.

I am sure that many of you will have seen the UKA document regarding the requirements for cross country events to take place during the pandemic. Over the last few weeks the League’s chairman Ron Dawson and I have discussed the contents of the document in the hope that we would be able to find a way to run some races over the winter months. Sadly, with the spike in Covid 19 cases in the last few weeks and with Essex currently in Tier 2 we now feel that there is very little likelihood of the League being able to put into place the various social distancing/health and safety requirements/administration to enable us to obtain a licence to run any races in the next few months even if we could find land owners who were prepared to allow us to hold a race on their land.

Hopefully we will be able to resume League competition sometime in 2021″.
