Dear club member
Hope you and your families are fit, well and keeping virus free during these nightmare times.
Bill is doing a fantastic job in keeping you all informed and entertained whilst this crisis and lock down lasts.
Also I know are coaches are there to support you with advice and sessions and schedules for those who need.
Hoping there will be light at the end of the tunnel soon, but in the meantime your club committee are keeping the affairs of the club ticking over and continually monitoring the advice from England Athletics and the government as to what, as athletes, we are allowed to do.
We have received an unexpected Coronavirus Sports Club grant from the government via the local council. Initially we are awaiting confirmation that we are entitled to receive this amount. The club executive will then decide upon how best to utilise the award for the benefit of all club members. This will include the ability for us to possibly waive all current members membership fees and pay their competition fee for 2020/21. Further information on this will be supplied as soon as possible.
Andy Catton, General Secretary
for and on behalf Ilford AC executive committee
