Ilford AC Life Member Neringa Aidietyte, age 33, is set to become the first Ilford AC member to appear in 2 Olympics (London 2012 & Rio 2016). In London she competed for her home country Lithuania in the 20 Kilometres’ Walk which was held along The Mall. From 61 starters of whom 55 finished, Miss Aidietyte came 39th in 1 hour 34 minutes & 1 second. Much later the Ilford AC athlete was promoted to 38th position after a higher-placed competitor was disqualified retrospectively.
