Subject: Orion Harriers 100th Mercury – 14th January 2023
To:
14th January 2023 will see the 100th running of our annual “mercury” 10 mile cross country run. We have held the run every year since 1911, except where prevented by war or disease.
The route has varied over the years, as the forest and traffic have changed, but has always included plenty of mud and hills, including Pole, Hawkswood, Yardley, Woodridden and Wellington Hills.
The 100 races have seen many epic battles between local runners and with the course, including our very own World Ironman Champion triathlete Lucy Charles-Barclay. See www.orionharriers.com/mercury/ for more details.
As this is a landmark year, we would like to invite our friends from local clubs to join us.
