Two Ilford AC athletes took part in events over the Easter Weekend.

The West Wight 3 Hills race is a very scenic, undulating/hilly single lap
of 8 miles with approximately 900 feet of ascent taking in Golden Hill
Fort, Freshwater, Headon Warren, Alum Bay, Highdown, Tennyson Down,
Freshwater Bay and back to the finish at Freshwater.
Ilford’s Malcolm Muir finished 1st in his age category, and 7th overall in
a great time of 54 minutes 56 seconds.

The Morumbi Track & Field Run Series in Sao Paulo is the premier road race
circuit in Latin America, attracting over 200,000 participants annually
throughout Brazil across various disciplines.
Ilford’s Anthony Young took on the Half Marathon. After a 12 hour flight
only the day before, and a humid 25 degree temperature, Tony was pleased
with his time of 2 hours 3 minutes 25 seconds.
