Press Report 28th September 2026 – Ilford Athletic Club

VITALITY LONDON 10K

Last weekend over 15,000 runners took to the streets of our capital city, for the iconic Vitality London 10k. Included in the line up were 4 runners representing Ilford AC

The race starts on the Mall, takes in such landmarks as Trafalgar Square, St Pauls, Horse Guards parade and Parliament Square before finishing in front of Buckingham Palace.

Leading the group was Amin Koikai who placed 4^th in his age group in a time of 36:07.
Amin was followed by Muhammud Tasneen in 51:27, Shahnaj Begum in 63:09 and Mandy Reid in 63:14

BATTERSEA PARK HALF MARATHON

Two runners from Ilford AC took part in last weekends Battersea Park Half Marathon, organised by Runthrough, with both aiming and succeeding in achieving a sub 2 hour time.
Raman Batmanaden came home in 1 hr 58 mins 37 secs, closely followed by Sean Costello in 1 hr 58 mins 59 secs
