BRIGHTON 10km

The Brighton 10km was held on a dry, cool calm morning and ran along the seafront on a flat fast out and back course. The race which attracted just under 3000 competitors was also a selection event for the England Masters team to face Wales next May in Bideford.

There was trio of runners from Ilford AC in the race and Terry Knightley ran an excellent race and to finish 463rd overall in 41 mins 11 secs and as 2nd finisher in the M65 age category has been selected to run for the England team, his third appearance in the masters international squad. Next home was Rob Sargent in 61 mins 31 secs, his best time this year  and Julia Galea ran hard to record 65mins 06secs, which was  seconds over the qualifying time for the England team.
