ESSEX CROSS-COUNTRY LEAGUE

The fourth round of the Essex Cross-Country League was held over an undulating grassland course.
Ilford AC fielded a team of 8 in the 8km men’s event and were led home by recent recruit Shamil Mohamed with an excellent run to finish 13th, and 3rd under 20 athlete, in 26mins 58secs. Next in was another athlete from the under 20 age group Samuel Crane in 29mins 30 mins for 50th spot, and in 58th was club stalwart Malcom Muir with 30mins 07 secs.
Dylan Harrod came in 78th in 31mins 13 seconds, with Steve Chissell 130th with 34mins 45 secs Bradley Brown closed the team scorers in 35mins 25secs for 139th.
Also in action were Terry Knightley (141st 35.35) and Neil Crisp (158th 36.48)
In the team event Ilford finished 7th and are currently 8th in division 1 with one match remaining this season.
The Ilford ladies raced over 6.6km and Anna Crawley was in fine form finishing 21st in 29 mins 21 secs, with Jordan Hinds also in top form with 30mins 25 secs for 27th . Dani Thomas continues to show improvement over the winter finishing in 56th place with 35min 21 secs and Natalie Crisp closed the scorers finishing 60th in 36mins 02 secs.
Next in was Alison Sale in 82nd for 39:48, followed by Dianne Crisp 110th in 44:36, and Frieda Keane 121st in 47:31
