strong
25.46.

good to

in
Ilford

again
leading
off with
a 27.20.

slightly
slower
in 27.58

British
Masters XC
Champs -
Bournemouth
Ilford
AC's
Iain Campbell
and John
Batchelor
narrowly
missed
out on
medals
when
both
took 4th
place in
their
respective
age
groups
when
competing
in
Sundays
British
Masters
Cross
Country
Championships.
The race
was held
over a
fast 2
lap
course
held in
King's
Park
Bournemouth,
mainly
dry and
flat but
with two
wicked
humps.
Campbell
was
particularly
unlucky with
only 15
seconds
covering
the
leading
quartet
including
Mark
Hargreaves
(Bournemouth),
Andy
Wetherill
(Redhill)
and Mark
Aspinall
(Clayton-Le-Moors)
with
Campbell
missing
out on
3rd by a
mere 2
seconds.
Batchelor
was
similarly
disappointed
with the
3 big
guns of
Steve
James
(Southport),
Walter
Ryder ((Morpeth),
and Fred
Gibbs(Bingley)
taking
the
major
honours.
