Peter Spelman completed the arduous Davos Marathon in an impressive time of
3 hours 51 minutes 41 seconds for 4th place in the over 55 age category and
58th overall.  The race is held on the beautiful Davos / Bergun mountains of
Switzerland and includes a change in height of over 1500m over its marathon
distance.  Spelman was delighted with his run which was 3 minutes faster
than last year and promised to return again next year.

Meanwhile, over a slightly less daunting distance, Kevin Newell finished the
Harlow 10 mile race in an excellent time of 67.14 minutes.  The fast
improving Ilford athlete handled the undulating course well and is beginning
to return to his best times achieved almost a decade ago.

At Parliament Hill, Marvin Tuffour ran a fine 100m into a strong headwind to
record 11.64 seconds.  Tuffour has been troubled by injury and work
commitments and will be happy to be getting nearer to his best form.  Simeon
Stuart and Nathaniel Senior performed well to reach 5.91m and 5.78m
respectively in the long jump, but will be looking for bigger leaps when
    they next compete.
